TicketSync Cookie Policy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
TicketSync ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies ("online technologies") on our website, apps, and checkout pages. This policy explains what these are, why we use them, and how you can control them. For more on how we handle personal information generally, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Online Technologies?
- Cookies: small text files placed on your device by your browser that remember information about your visit (e.g., login state, cart contents).
- Pixels/web beacons: tiny graphics or code snippets that track whether a page was viewed or an email was opened.
- Local storage / SDKs: similar technologies used within our mobile apps to remember settings and enable functionality.
Cookies can be:
- First-party (set directly by TicketSync) or third-party (set by a partner, e.g., a payment or analytics provider).
- Session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (remain until they expire or you delete them).
2. Categories of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Can be disabled? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Required for the site/app to function: keeping you logged in, remembering your cart during checkout, load balancing, fraud/security checks. | No — always active |
| Performance/Analytics | Measures traffic and usage (e.g., which pages are visited, page load errors) so we can improve the platform. Data is aggregated. | Yes |
| Functional | Remembers preferences like language, currency, or saved payment method for convenience. | Yes |
| Advertising/Targeting | Used by us or partners to show relevant event recommendations and measure ad performance across sites. | Yes |
| Social | Enables share buttons and social media embeds; may track browsing across sites for the social network. | Yes |
3. How to Manage Your Preferences
3.1 Our Cookie Preference Centre
On your first visit, you'll see a banner allowing you to Accept All, Reject Non-Essential, or Manage Preferences (choose by category). You can revisit and change your choices at any time using the "Manage My Cookies" link in the footer of our website or in your app settings. Strictly Necessary cookies cannot be turned off, as the platform won't function without them.
3.2 Browser Settings
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings menu. Note that blocking Strictly Necessary cookies may prevent checkout from working correctly.
3.3 Mobile App Settings
Within the TicketSync app, go to Settings → Privacy → Ad Tracking to control app-level tracking, or use your device's OS-level tracking controls (e.g., iOS "Allow Tracking" prompts, Android Ad ID settings).
3.4 Email Tracking
To prevent open-tracking pixels in our marketing emails, disable automatic image loading in your email client, or unsubscribe via the link in any marketing email.
3.5 Ad Choices
For more on interest-based advertising and industry opt-out tools, visit the Digital Advertising Alliance (youradchoices.com) or the European equivalent (youronlinechoices.eu).
4. Consent and Legal Basis
Strictly Necessary cookies are used on the basis of legitimate interest (they're essential to deliver the service you requested). All other categories are used only with your consent, which you give (or decline) via the preference centre, and which you can withdraw at any time with the same effect going forward.
5. Changes to This Policy
We'll update this page when our use of online technologies changes materially, and where required, we'll ask for your consent again.
